Annual Meeting & By Law Changes
The Castleton Community Seniors Annual Meeting will take place Friday August 22 at 6pm. All members are encouraged to attend. There will be a Pot Luck Supper. The annual year in review video presentation will follow. Other important items on the agenda include voting for the 2009 slate of officers, the volunteer recognition award for 2008 and several changes to the by-laws. By Law changes are available for all members to read before the meeting. You can stop by the front desk for a copy or call 468-3093 to have a copy mailed to you.

CCC Gala Basket Party
The Community Center Basket Party committee has been working overtime to plan a REALLY REALLY BIG BASKET PARTY for Saturday July 19th from 11 to 3pm. To accommodate the large crowd expected to attend, the event will be held at the Castleton American Legion Hall on Rt 4A in Bomoseen. Drawings for door prizes, baskets and a raffle with over $1,000 in restaurant gift certificates and valuable items including Hubbardton Forge Lamps and a Telescope Furniture folding rocker start at 1pm. Lunch and snacks can be purchased during the event. The $5 admission will provide 25 tickets for over 100 fantastic baskets and door prizes. Additional tickets can be purchased for the raffle or baskets. All proceeds for the Basket Party will be used for the Castleton Community Seniors barn renovation/Wellness Center project. Wellness Center Grant
The Castleton Community Seniors recently received word of a very generous $5,000 gift from the Amy Tarrant Foundation for our barn renovation/ Wellness Center project. This gift is very important as we get closer to our planned starting date for construction. We have raised over $87,000 to date and have other donations and grant requests pending. If you would like more information about making a gift to the barn renovation project please call the Center 468-3093. Your help is needed and very much appreciated.
