Freedom’s Price Is Not Free

Even if the first word in freedom is free
The price of freedom was not free
It was very high the price we had to pay
So we could enjoy the freedoms we have today

I have seen the blue stars in the windows that turn to gold
I was there so I saw, I don’t have to be told
A very high price was paid for the battles that we won
For one of those stars, was for my son

Many of us will carry the scars of war to the grave
But we’re happy to see the flag will still wave
Over the land of the brave and the home of the free
We ask the governing bodies to hear our plea

Many fought and died to keep USA free
If they’re not careful, they’ll have World War III
If they keep taking the benefits of you and me
They’ll find out first hand that freedom’s price is not free
