Office of the Board of
Listers Castleton, Vermont
Results of the
2007 Statistical
Reappraisal
The State of Vermont requires property to be at 100% of fair
market value as of April 1, 2007. The New England Municipal
Consultants, Std. (NEMC) and the Board of Listers have completed the
statistical reappraisal of the 2007 Grand List. Enclosed you will
find the new value of your property. The Board of Listers has given
their approval to the project.
We have posted the reappraisal
values for
comparison. Please click on the links below.
Note: You
will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view the PDF documents. If you do
not have this program, please click here to download it.
You may also purchase your own copy for
$5 at the town offices.
If you
feel your reappraisal value is not a fair indication of market value, you may
grieve your assessment. The value can be adjusted for only 3
reasons:
- The new value does not represent market value as of April
1, 2007.
- The new value is unfair when compared to other NEW values.
- The data concerning my home is incorrect.
The value cannot be lowered because it went up too much or
you have concerns about your tax bill. The selectmen will set the
tax rate when the grievance period is over.
If you have questions, or would like to schedule an
appointment for a grievance hearing, call our office before June 18,
2007 at 802-468-2751 ext, 217 or 224.
We would like to thank everyone for their support and
understanding.
Board of Listers,
April Morse Nancy Trudo Kim Miller |
